Wawa celebrates Employee Appreciation Day

The Project

Wawa, a chain of retail stores that provides food, coffee, and fuel amongst other services, was seeking a way to coincide their annual “Value’s Day” - an employee appreciation day - with the grand opening of several stores in a new territory. Because the new territory was in Florida, oranges were a natural fit for this launch.

The Challenges

Fulfillment needed to happen quickly to maintain the freshness of the oranges. However, we did not anticipate that they would still be covered in dirt from the fields. Our staff worked around the clock washing 21,000 oranges to ensure that the order shipped on time to arrive for their event.

The Results

The oranges were packed in individual mailer boxes and shipped out to every Wawa store nationwide. Each mailer was decorated with creative art as part of the “Values Day” theme, and a letter from the CEO of Wawa was included in the box, thanking the employees for their hard work and dedication.
